IMPORTANT: Unit and Member Renewal - December 31 Deadline!
The recharter process is no more; units and members must follow the new Renewal processes. Units must complete the Unit Renewal by 12/31 in order to avoid being disbanded -- and we recommend completing as soon as possible.
Our Council Registrar is very backed up on emails, so please include Rudy Gonzalez (Rudy.Gonzalez@scouting.org) and Brian Woo (Brian.Woo@scouting.org) on any emails where you need Registrar assistance.
For general questions about the renewal processes, contact your Unit Commissioner for assistance, or Paul Lanzi, if you don't have a Unit Commissioner.
Friday December 20 was our District Executive, Keith Bauer's final day with the Golden Gate Area Council. On behalf of all of the volunteers and scouts of Golden Gate District, we send our thanks and appreciation to Keith for his nearly 2 years of professional service to our District. Keith -- we all wish you the very best in your future endeavors!

Every year, the Food Bank sees a drop-off in volunteers after the holidays, particularly on December 26 and January 2—even though food assistance is urgently needed during this time. Please consider volunteering; signups now available!
