Recruitment Resources

As we are moving though the school and scouting year, I would like to echo the previous Roundtable meeting and go over some recruitment resources for the District. The Council is looking to support units through 3 different approaches:
  1. We are establishing a connection with the San Francisco Parents Coalition to attend their back-to-school night events and raise awareness about what local Scouting has to offer the community. We would love to know if any Scouters are already members who can speak to their experiences in scouting! We are also in the process of getting permission to distribute flyers through the schools directly.
  2. National is currently sending all new Cubs who join through the online system until 10/31/24 a welcome kit including a copy of the Scouting Magazine, welcome card and stickers!
  3.  The Council is following up its own initiatives for units who are interested in the Sign-Up night events in their communities. With recruitment training, flyer and localized digital marketing we can support your unit in its outreach! Please email the Membership Field Director, Frank.Solla@scouting.org if you are interested!
